We're committed to helping you move forward with confidence and clarity.

A legal practice rooted in experience, equity, and real-world support.

Lyschin Paralegal Services was founded on a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves access to clear, reliable legal guidance, no matter their background or circumstance.

Led by Liz Smith, a Licensed Paralegal with over 20 years in the legal field, our practice brings deep experience and a people-first approach to every case. Liz is a proud BIPOC legal professional who understands firsthand the barriers that many communities face when it comes to accessing justice. That’s why her mission has always been to bridge that gap, with compassion, clarity, and consistency.

As a member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), Ontario Paralegal Network (OPL), and the Black Action Paralegal Alliance (BABP), Liz stays connected to the broader legal community while continuing to advocate for underrepresented voices. She holds designations as a Licensed Paralegal, Family Law Service Provider (FLSP), and Human Resource Manager, allowing her to serve clients with both legal precision and a deep understanding of human dynamics.

In addition to her legal work, Liz contributes her time to the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) at the Academy of Learning, helping shape the next generation of paralegal professionals.

Whether you're navigating a family matter, facing a summary criminal charge, or simply need a document notarized, Lyschin Paralegal Services is here to help, no judgment, no runaround, just practical legal support from someone who gets it.

In 2025, Liz completed an intensive, hands-on program designed to build advanced knowledge and practical expertise in POA advocacy. Guided by The Hon. Justice Rick Libman, the program offered an in-depth exploration of the relevant law and provided Liz with a rare opportunity to refine her written and oral advocacy skills through personalized feedback from judges, justices of the peace, and senior legal professionals.
